Graffiti Exposed – A Live Human Broadcast

Was taking a walk on Bliss Street not even an hour ago, when my friends and I stumbled upon what looked like a Graffiti Competition/Exposition.  All of Bliss Street is closed off for the event..all so that people can look on as artists do graffiti ..LIVE!

What a great concept, right?  Except, why wasn’t it promoted more?  I didn’t hear anything about this event at all this week..not on facebook, not on twitter, not on blogs..what a shame..  My friends and I were 3 of maybe 20 people at event.

Bank Med Graffiti Exposed

Bank Med is one of the principle sponsors of the event. Way to go Bank Med. I'm assuming it's to promote their new branch right across from AUB. Interesting brand association for a bank though, right?

Anyway, the event is running all day today (Sunday Dec. 5th) on Bliss Street until 10 pm..so you still have some time to check it out before it gets dark! (About an hour and a half to be exact!).  And according to the poster, there will be performances by 961 breakdancing crew and Ahmad Kaabour Walkabout Drum Circle.  If you have nothing else going on, be sure to check it out!

  1. It started off slow… bigger crowds started to show up later on in the day. It was actually advertised on facebook; that’s how i knew about it.

I’ll take dancing on Bliss street over the usual traffic any day! Good vibes, good times.
